Brunei is a small,wealthy, sovereign state with a small population sharing the island of Borneo with Malaysia and Indonesia. Our involvement in Brunei took place in the Empire Brunei – an opulent, coastal resort that once served as a royal guesthouse. Our contemporary design language reimagined a restaurant in a manner that respected but did not copy the gilded domes, marble floors and crystal chandeliers of the original, iconic structure.
