Bahay ng Araw
The home for a young couple was sited on a narrow lot in a suburban site in a tropical environment. Informality was a key request, as was passive light and heat control. To that end we sheltered the entire structure with a roof whose overhang protects the house from the blazing noon sun. Similarly each window was designed to be fitted with white, jalousie-style shades. At the special request of the owner we added a unique meditation pod that is accessed via a bridge which is accessed from the master bedroom
